Ian Parry Scholarship is now open!

2017 call for entries now open!

The Ian Parry Scholarship is a free international photographic award for documentary & visual photojournalism students and freelance photographers of the age of 24 years and under. Now is your chance to get your work in front of a team of international judges and join the family of illustrious past winners.

Our 2017 deadline is Friday 1st of September.

As implied in the title this show will only be up for ONE DAY: Thursday, June 29th

Please stop by the John Sommers Gallery during the day(8:15 am- 4:45 pm) to see work from the students in the 429: Reframing Portraiture class or come to the reception from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm to meet the artists, enjoy snacks, and get your portrait taken in a photo booth!!

A little more about the show: Portraiture is a broad and ambiguous genre. After considering various methods, testing endless conventions, and creating our own definitions of portraiture, our class has created multiple bodies of work to expand on these ideas. Featuring works by Lisa Samudio, Danielle Roy, Youri Mougel, Garrett Julian, Audre Holtz, Kim Becerra, and Eryn Bathke. Hope to see you there!!!
